Champlain Dublin Orientation! Spring 2025

The spring cohort of Champlain Dublin students arrived at the beginning of this month to begin their study abroad experience. Program Director Stephen Robinson greeted them at the airport and escorted them to the student residence Highlight in the Liberties, a dynamic and hyperlocal neighborhood of Dublin.

After taking some time to settle in, the Resident Advisors led the students on a walking tour of the area before hosting a pizza party at Highlight to kick off orientation and get to know each other. Students also went on a walking tour to meet the local shopkeepers and learn about the community they will call home for the next four months. Afterward, a welcome dinner for everyone was hosted at the Landmark Pub, where students could mingle with the student cohort and faculty.

On the final day of orientation, students took another tour around the city center, seeing the notable sights and famous landmarks of the city, such as the General Post Office, Ha’Penny Bridge, and Temple Bar. Overall, orientation helps you settle in, prepare for your semester, and familiarize yourself with both the neighborhood and the greater Dublin community you’ll be a part of for the spring!
