Champlain Students Winners in Montreal!

The “Why the f$#k are you making games?” panel with Jeff, Patrice, Yves, Atul, Philippe, Guillaume, and Johan (left to right).
The Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS) took place these last two days.

Around 50 students came up for the conferences and two of them won the Zbrush competition:

First prize: Alexander May, second: Jeff Lee. It was a great moment for all the students present!

There was also an article in Gamasutra featuring Ann DeMarle (EMC) and Genevieve Lord for their participation (and organization) of a panel on the Positive Impact of Games.
“…a panel gathered to talk about the gaming’s potentially positive aspects by showing their work, chewing on deep questions about the state of the industry, and generally pushing buttons.”

Congratulations to all the teachers and staff, in Burlington and Montreal, who helped our students reach that level!

Finally, the senior ex-Montreal students crashed the class of one of their preferred local adjuncts (Patrick Fortier – Advanced Seminar in Game Design).

All in all, a lot of compliments on our students by all the local companies; Two very busy days for all involved but so satisfying!
