On September fourteenth Ryan and I took a group of students to see an art exhibition called the “Fresh Paint Gallery” done by young street artists painted all over the walls of an old bank down on St. Catherine street. The gentleman sitting at the top of a narrow flight of stairs informed us that the gallery was started to help gain recognition of young street artists in the area. Most of them are multimedia artists, many of whom may dabble in graphic design, film etc.
There were six rooms, each done by a singular artist, while the hallways also had pieces displayed or painted on the walls. Most of us who went are Game Art Majors, so getting so see such an uncompromising artistic display was very refreshing. Here are some examples of the work you can see there.
